The students had so much fun on the 100th day of school! Upon arrival they walked into a classroom filled with 100 balloons. The class did various centers throughout the day all relating to the number 100. We had an amazing pizza party celebration for lunch. After recess, the students popped 100 balloons and then did a creative writing assignment. The writing prompt was "When I'm 100 years old..."

Here are some quotes from the creative writing:

"I would like to hang out with my grand children and watch football."
"I will look like a really old lady."
"If I am dead I know that I had a great life because my teachers have been so helpful and my parents are so nice."
"I will have dentures. I will play BINGO all day. I will have a gray beard even longer than Santa's beard."
"Even the sound of a mouse will be loud."
"I will be a great grandma. I will tell kids stories."
"When I hold hands with a child, I will feel as happy as a child. I will probably not hear very well but that's okay. I won't live much longer but I still can enjoy life."
"I will say to myself - my life was great!"
"I am going to have eyes that sparkle more than sparklers."
"I will look old and I will walk slow. I will have chubby cheeks and I will stay in bed all day."
"My skin will look like skin-colored raisins."
"I will probably be a dad by then."
"I will have a husband named Colin."
"I think even if I was 100 years old, I could still play the piano."
"When I am 100 I will need somebody to help me cross the street."
"I will lay in bed all day and call my friends when I feel lonely and want to hear their voices. My children will make me breakfast, lunch, and dinner."
